Our Pioneering Research
Our commitment to sustainable mobility extends far beyond vehicle production. At the core of our mission lies a strong foundation in research and innovation, where every project is designed to push the boundaries of what efficient, lightweight electric transport can achieve in modern cities.
With our philosophy rooted in doing more with less, we focus our research efforts on three strategic pillars: ultralight vehicle engineering, solar-integrated electric mobility, and energy-optimized urban logistics. These projects are not merely technical explorations; they are catalysts for redefining how cities move.
We are proudly part of in Horizon Europe’s GIANTS, developing next-generation ultralight vehicle architectures that set new standards for efficiency and sustainability.
We are also working in EU Horizon project SolarMove and the STOLT project (Stockholm Local Transitions) with Vinnova.
With VTI, we are working with a project gathering vehicle data that is validated by VTI. This data is then analyzed to understand the performance and real world use of a solar driven vehicles.

Engineering, design and sustainability
At Clean Motion we treat efficiency as a value, not a feature. It sits in our core and in our DNA.
Our point is simple:
The most sustainable vehicle is the one that uses the least energy and material to do the job.
Everything in EVIG flows from that idea. The way it looks. The way it is engineered. The way it uses energy. The choices we make on batteries, systems, weight and modularity all come back to the same question: how can we deliver the work our customers need with as little waste as possible.
A CLOSER LOOK
Sustainability in practice
We are realistic about sustainability. Producing any vehicle uses resources and creates emissions. That is why we focus on making every kilometre as efficient as possible and avoiding unnecessary mass and complexity.
A right sized 10 kWh battery that is used every day is better than a much larger pack that is barley used. A lightweight vehicle that replaces a larger van (in the right application) reduces energy use and emissions from every route it takes over. Fewer unique parts and shared modules reduce material use and simplify logistics from production to service and maintenance.
Because EVIG is modular, the same base vehicle can have several lives. A vehicle that starts as a last mile delivery unit can later be converted to another use case by changing the interior and openings instead of scrapping the chassis and starting from zero. Long life and high utilisation are key parts of sustainability in professional fleets.
